HARPS TITLE HOPES HIT AS WEXFORD WIN CRUCIAL MATCH AGAINST UCD

first_imgSOCCER: Finn Harps title ambitions have been dealt a blow after league leaders Wexford Youths earned a crucial win over UCD in Ferrycarrig earlier this evening. A late goal from Shane Dunne secured all three points and ensures that Wexford now go SEVEN points clear with just FOUR games left to play. Two more wins will secure the league title for Wexford, but they will face UCD again next week in Dublin. It looks likely that Harps will have to reach the Premier Division via the play-off route. There likely opponents will be UCD who currently occupy third position in the league.Harps play Cobh Ramblers in Cork next Saturday before they host UCD the following Friday at Finn Park. There will be plenty of twists and turns in the run-in but it will take a Wexford collapse now in the final four matches for Harps to have any hopes of gaining automatic promotion by winning the league.  HARPS TITLE HOPES HIT AS WEXFORD WIN CRUCIAL MATCH AGAINST UCD was last modified: September 11th, 2015 by Mark ForkerShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)last_img read more
